Double Dragon II: Wander of the Dragons is a 3D reimagining of the classic arcade brawler that serves as a masterclass in how not to handle a legacy title. Following the murder of Marian, brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee embark on a revenge quest that feels less like a heroic journey and more like a chore. With sloppy 8-way combat, repetitive button-mashing, and generic enemy design, the game strips away the charm of the original. It is a clunky, unpolished mess that manages to turn a beloved martial arts franchise into a frustrating, monotonous experience that is best left forgotten.
