Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier drags our favorite duo to the edge of the world to solve a global Eco crisis. It is a strange, experimental swan song for the series that ditches the open-world ambition of its predecessors for a mix of linear platforming, gunplay, and surprisingly heavy aerial combat. While Jak navigates treacherous terrain using elemental Eco powers, Daxter gets his own spotlight through a bizarre 'Dark Daxter' transformation. It is a scrappy, uneven adventure that feels more like a high-flying arcade shooter than the classic platforming epics of old, serving up a final, chaotic mission for the pair.
