Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei

Before the series became a household name, Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei brought the first two Digital Devil Story RPGs to the Super Famicom. This 16-bit overhaul serves as a definitive way to experience the franchise's roots, blending first-person dungeon crawling with the series' signature demon recruitment and fusion mechanics. You play as a programmer who accidentally unleashes hell, forcing you to navigate treacherous, maze-like environments while bargaining with supernatural entities to survive. It is a brutal, atmospheric relic that laid the groundwork for the tactical, demon-collecting chaos fans love today.
