Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Samus Aran is back, but she’s stranded on the mysterious planet Viewros after a clash with her rival, Sylux. This latest outing blends the series' classic first-person scanning and Morph Ball puzzle-solving with a new set of psychic abilities that let you manipulate energy and traverse the environment. While it features stunning biomes and the familiar, isolated atmosphere fans expect, the game attempts to shake things up with a vehicle called the Vi-O-La for desert traversal. It’s a polarizing mix of traditional Metroidvania exploration and experimental, open-ended design that feels both nostalgic and strangely disjointed.
